Takuma Nakahira 1000
softcover, 1024 pages
In this thick small book, Takuma Nakahira compiles a series of images of cars, shot around his residency of Yokohama, between 1978 and the late 80's. He does not organize it in a typology, but explores the boundaries of his practice, using frames which create a new relation to the environnement. Famous for his oeuvre For a Language to come, Nakahira renounces to words and lyricism to concentrate on the essence of the world, as if these simple cars would become the wreckage of our fallen civilization.
