This exhibition celebrates the revolutionary spirit of April 25, 1974, a 50-year milestone of an act that symbolizes the struggle for freedom, democracy and the emancipation of territories previously under colonial rule, which resulted in the affirmation of new states, all of them sovereign.

The works presented are distributed in three nuclei of ubiquitous works in Ancestral Connections, Shared Identities and Freedom and Transformation, reflecting on the complexities of union, similarity and tolerance, mixed in space and dialoguing between the themes.

The show is a tribute to the resilience and creativity of Portuguese-speaking countries, highlighting the cultural diversity and the unique ability to reinvent and connect through art, history and language.

With the participation of 45 artists from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Principe and Timor-Leste, the exhibition promotes a deep visual and cultural dialogue that, interconnected through the sea, transcends the barriers of time and space.
